Journeys in Watercolor Painting

Plans are underway at the Sandy Senior Center to provide watercolor artists with a facility where they can work, practice and enhance their water media painting skills.

To this end and beginning in January 2008 the center will reserve its Arts and Crafts room (Room 201), each Thursday 1 PM - 3:30 PM for the exclusive use of the watercolorists who wish to practice their art at the Center.

The facility can accommodate ten (10) working artists at the one time, hence a reservation of space will be required. Preference will be given to senior artists registered as Center participants. There will be no fee for the use of working space .

The center will provide services of a volunteer art instructor to help occasionally with watercolor techniques and critiques of painting produced at the facility.

Alex Hoshovsky, the Centers resident artist will administer the use of the facility and provide help that may needed by the facility users.

Artists  who may want to register for use of the facility should contact Alex Hoshovsky by phone (801-571-9942) or E-mail  at aghem@q.com.
